Default You have a budget of $6,000...

Here's a little game for some of you guys.

I sold the Maxima, and moved to Vegas. I ran into a nice(ish) 1994 Acura Integra sedan LS. It's green. Has some black mesh 17's on it. Lowered on springs. It's also Auto.

You have a budget of $6K. 2.5K is going towards picking up the rice rocket.

Now, that leaves $3.5K to play around with it.

Here's the guidelines.
NO engine swaps.
No 5sp swaps.
Everything MUST be 50state legal, and be able to pass smog.

Now.

Go.

FYI: My list hasn't gotten very far, but I'm looking at this, so far:
F2 Type 1 Coilovers
Function7 LCAs
A Spec Racing's Rear brace and 24mm sway bar

And I am in a debate about wheels. I was thinking about grabbing up some 15x6.5" replica wheels FS on NWP4LIFE (they weigh SUB10lbs!), but I also think buddy clubs would look killer on it.

So, I will look at outside opinions.

I just want something reliable to daily around. Nothing crazy.

so...

$2.5K car? youll probally need most of the remaining to fix whatever breaks. why not get something newer(not 14 years old) like $5,500 and go party with the $500 left over theres plenty of clean newer teggys under 6k.

1st re-build the motor so you have at least something dependable
2nd- drive it

I personally think a 'tail' of the boxes would be pretty fun.

Partying got old.

And with $3,500, I should be able to replace anything that 'breaks' with newer, better equipment. Hence why a big chunk of change is going towards suspension.

I guess I forgot to mention the car only has 72K on the clock.

tru but, 2.5 k car + 3.5 mods = 6k for a car thats value will drop and still be worth the original amount paid for the car. where as a newer car you can keep saving and slowly do things and it will hold a higher resale value. and being ewer is may be less likely to break

It's a budget car, I don't want a payment while I am still in school. Period.

End of story.

Make a list, or don't. Please don't try to change my mind, as all I need is a 'to school/work and from school/work' vehicle... not a 299/mo payment plan.

Also, according to Craigslist, in my area( Lost Wages, Las Vegas) there are virtually NO vehicles that fit my bill between 4500-6000.

Sounds like you should take your $2500 car and use it as intended, leaving it stock. $3500 in the bank is more than some people can hope for nowadays, take that and call it a win. Modding a FWD automatic sedan is more than just an uphill battle, it's pissing in the wind.
