I'm confused.. Are you calling yourself a ricer? You just put up a thread in members rides with "JDM Inspired" in the title, and also said you want to add JDM/EDM parts to your car.

Adding tasteful/high dollar/rare parts to make your car look nice or different, is way different from a civic owner throwing on a body kit and wing in order to MAKE their car look faster.

 

I gotta agree with Jamie on this one.

 

+ MF ONE. How can you call people "ricers" when they are spending money into highly functional and simply really rare parts. I think you've got it all wrong, and should delete this thread, and proceed to change your thread title of "JDM Inspired" to "RICER Inspired"

 

Ok, I did a bad job of explaining the subject, just trying to make a point about this whole "calling people ricers" you know.

Im not saying JDM is rice, but it differently replaced the ricer fad.

I would call myself a ricer in the aspect that i have black housing headlights, Mugen style lip, etc etc, for what, looks.

Mugen stlye, I dont have a real mugen lip, just polyuretane thats molded like a mugen lip.


And I don't get that last part.

Im just trying to make a point, I've seen nice cars with nothing on them "JDM" but with bodykits, etc, and they look good, and very well put together, and are done well, but alot of people call them ricers, WHY?

Am i making any sense? And enough with the stupid comments, im trying to have a mature disscusion, if your car is 100% JDM, that doesnt mean you have to flame me for thinking differently from you.

 

And let me state my opinion about my car, my style, and my ideas.

I like the style of EDM, JDM, etc, this is why I have stated so many times, my car is only influence by JDM, its nothing JDM at all.

 

Dude, JDM parts are OEM parts in Japan. Ricers add cheap ass fiberglass body kits, or mold ugly ass lips and low quality parts. That's the main difference between the two.. OEM vs. shitty quality aftermarket. I think you're missing that point.

Obviously any headlights you add to your car aren't going to do much in the speed department, but adding a nice set of CTR headlights (remember it's OEM in Japan), is way better than getting some ebay "black housing" replicas. Different strokes for different folks.
