Drive a S2000!!?!?!? Come on in please!
they are great competitive cars for autocross stock or non and beautiful to watch
after 20 odd something years of driving FWD Civic's it was wierd to be in a RWD Honda.
Pending the year and what your future plans are you may need to do so upgrades to the rear end.
The only thing that keeps me away from them is the drop top. While I love it I am not used to having so many blindspots.
There was a guy in front of me at the track Friday night with a S2K and he couldn't get out of the 16's even after he took the spare tire out of the trunk.
He didn't seem to happy.

Ya don't say? I've seen a few youtube videos of "stock" s2000's on all session tires runing 13.9, best and mainly stay in the 14's is that true? or there not stock at all to run those numbers?

I like del sols' but the point of me getting a car like a s2000, or miata, is for...
RWD
Roadster
Handling
If the del sol was a real sports car like the miata or s2000, i'd get one.
And again, I dont want an older civic that i have to make look nice and make it handle good, and make it some what fast, I want a car that was meant for handling and power, and sporty features.
Im all for civics, but if its not an SI, then you basicaly have a corrola that you have to drop money into to make it something else.
I will do that one day, for now I want a nice DD that i can drive, and change the oil, i dont wanna have to mod the car to make it look nice, or handle good, or give it some power, you get me?
I want a car I can enjoy from factory
I dont have time or a place to work on a car

let me tell you why i dont wanna do that, no offense.
If I buy a low miles del sol, in good shape, thats what, 3k at least! probley more... sadly...
Then nice rims thats 500 at least... if i go cheap and go drag's or roto's
Then swap the engine... GSR maybe, thats like 3000k easly, plus hard labor with headaces on my part.
Then lower it with a real good suspension set up, thats over 1000k easly
then invest in body work, a lip, then look at the interior, seats, etc etc
Thats like 3k etc from ext. to int.
I'll be spending 9k or more to make the car realy nice... For what.. It still wont be anything close to a stock S2000, in my book, it'll still be a del sol, IMO.

like said before, go test drive one...you can like the looks of a car all day long but once you drive it you might hate it...another option you should consider is a mazda rx8...its not a roadster, but it performs just as well as the s2k and has alot more room on the inside (4 seats + a trunk)
