Oh it sounded like you were saying that the Celica motor was also a bad ass motor. Sounded like you were saying it was a different motor.

I love everything about the MR2 and I seriously considered getting one before I got my CRX. The only thing about them is that Ive heard (from mechanics and MR2 owners) that the car is kinda hard to work on. They said that there are certain engine parts that are impossible to get to. I guess no setup is perfect.

heres my contribution:

And exactly what would you make the manifold out of? I think you have it backwards. Stainless is about the only thing to make a reliable turbo header out of. Regular carbon steel will melt in short order.

no stainless tubular manifolds manifolds do crack why do you think peeps bye manifolds and coat them? they usually use high carbon cast steel for manifolds. its great shit.

Where did you hear that SS manis didnt crack? Stainless Steel is the 3rd most emmorphous elements in the world. And Cast Iron will not melt under turbocharged conditions. I would give any SS manifold 10K - 12K miles before they crack. Sure they flow better cars that arent daily driven. And what really sux is the fact since they morph(change grow strech etc...) so much the more you brace it the more they are prone to crack. CAST IRON is the best manifold for street daily driven cars IMHO SS is so overrated... Like Sabri said coat the cast iron and port the shit out of it you will flow the same and still have reliability.
