You have to be stupid to say a car will never need maintenance.Never change/check the oil in your car and see how long it lasts.Dsm's have been known for weak transmissions but so are all cars when you put down more power than was intended. Most swapped honda's are money pits that go nowhere for the money invested.Trust me i did it once.....

What is your definition of "fast" ? I'm prett sure your car does not meet my definition of fast.

I have had my Honda for 4 years. the only problem? I spend ALOT of money and it was still slow.
You beat me....

Notice all these Hondas guys have never own DSM, Alot of the DSM people have owned civics and there is a reason why they made the switch. it almost seems that Hondas are for beginners and DSM are what you graduate to once you now how to and enjoy working on your own car.

I spent $3500 for a LHT swap to see a 14.6 in the quarter. ( nothing wrong with LHT they do great work )
A $50 boost controller on a DSM will equal that.

I spent about the same or more for a 13.9 in my old crx.Yes i was beating swapped civics in my first 1g Gs-T with a boost controller and downpipe.I think they think dsms suck since they dont have b-teck.They hit b-teck and we hit boost.....

ok, to start, whoever says a joke about crankwalk...youre not funny...youre not witty...youre making a joke thats about 10 years old.

second,
hondas. power TO weight
dsm. power AND weight.

i hate arguing over which company is better when it comes to cars, and alot of people in here are just going off of dumb stereotypes.

i havent spent a "ton" of money and my car isnt slow
a normal amount of money spent in the right places does wonders.

thats not 100% true, i do agree, civics are the perfect car for begining car enthusists. that doesnt mean there not fast, but i do agree most swapped civics are not fast to me, ive never owned any car faster then my 91 dsm with an evo III turbo upgrade, and i didnt think my dsm was fast, it doesnt compare to most real fast cars. but again i was younger, and less experienced and dumped money into the motor, and the car kept giving me problem after problem...

that was my falght and the car, it only had 80k miles but any engine that puts out some what high power isnt the most reliable, for the money dsm's are fast, reliable, i still dont think so.

again, my favorite model!

you can only have two of these three

low cost

reliabe

fast

hondas are cheap and reliable but not too fast (stock)

dsm's are fast and cheap but not too reliable (stock)

thats my opinion, someone that owned rwd, then fwd boosted, now fwd.

do i make any sense, someone let me know

I never said my car was fast now did i?? If i had shit load of money and had choice of my integra or my eclispe that i had to put money into and make it fast, i would def put money in my teggy, but we can all sit here and argue for weeks, every car has potential, u can make everycar fast, i hate when people make threads like that knowing it will start shit!
