Why not do that to the mirage?
If you really want to spend your money, get the rims......please don't put that bumper on it. I like mirages.
Also, If you order cheap springs/shocks from ebay, I can almost guarantee you they'll send you the wrong ones...save up and get good quality ones if you really want them.

Best advice yet. If you aren't going to be keeping you Mirage for long, then don't put a penny into it other than maintenance. Save money for your near future Eclipse/a rainy day.

You can have it all, you just need to plan well.
1. Buy the bumper. Install it unpainted to save some money. An unpainted body kit is better than nothing.
2. Go to autozone and buy purple headlight bulbs, looks like HID's and costs less. IF you always keep your high beams on people will think they are HID's, and you will see more of the road. If autozone doesn't have purple bulbs, just spray paint the headlight housing with a little purple.
3. Don't buy lowering springs, just cut a few coils off of yours.
4. Make a deal with your friend and put the wheels on lay away. When you have enough money you can put nice rims on the rear wheels and leave steelies up front. This is good for drag racing ( I know cause I watched all teh fast adn the furius movies at least three times each). WHen you have saved up your money you can put the front wheels on and maybe even buy a 5 inch exhaust tip at pepboys.

Remove your bumper altogether and claim it was drifting damage. Makes you look hardcore. Also, apply tape to the fenders that pokes fun at the missing bumper, as tape is commonly used in motorsports for body repair.
As for wheels, paint the steelies black. It's cheap as hell, and since you're painting them, you can still call it a "mod," to make you feel better about yourself. Since you will buy the paint at an auto parts store, you can also call yourself a mechanic, which will help in the same way.
Next mod will be running open header, since you can easily (and at no cost!) eliminate all of those power-robbing nuisances like mufflers, catalytic converters, resonators, piping, subtlety, hearing ability, etc. When it comes to street cred, your car is only as fast as it looks and sounds. Remember that.

You may be getting that Eclipse soon, but until then, the Mirage is all you have, so you NEED to give it all the money you have. Also, steal from your parents. With the exception of buying you a car while they house and feed you, they don't pay for shit, and they should!

Look, you've got a mirage. Repaint the bumper, enjoy your good gas mileage and save your money for when you get a better car. If the mirage looks good you might even be able to sell it for slightly more than you expect to. Leave the steelies, do not get the HIDs or I will personally remove them at the St. Pete Meet, and don't worry about the suspension set up on this car. Save the treats for the next one.

I love the mirages, I've had 3 of them actually. Keep it stock and just repaint it if its not damaged bad, or buy a stock bumper and put a lip on it.
Are you familiar with holly's turbo 5th gen mirage? It was white with pink and black vynals but it was sexy. It was featured in a mag at some point. She was trying to sell it, not sure if she ever did or not.
