Last time I was there, I parked my car, and some fucking jackass decided that he wanted to drop the clutch on his black RX8, and almost slammed into my car. And he was on the beach side. Next time, I hope he goes the other way into the rocks, that would have been fucking hilarious.

That's exactly why they wanna put gates up. The same time I went, people were "drifting" around the boat dock. And I use the word drifting very loosely.

 

Ive been gone for about 4 yeas now. Ive never been out to the CCC to race or for any meets but ive seen em out there when i was goin back and forth... Ive also heard that the bridges have been home to street racing since my dad was into it.... Im not sure they will shut it down, I dont know if they can afford to? But from what im hearing im fairly surprised that things have gotten so outta hand.... Its ashame really, i like to race and tracks only being open 2 days doesnt really appeal to me, but being reckless and risking others safety and the money and work i put into my vehicles... it just doesnt make sense. Just outta curiosity... what the hell is up with the guns and gangs and what not?

 

The bridges will always get raced on, they always have. Hell, my first experience streetracing was out at Gandy in 1990. ...Damn I'm old.

 

best thing you can do, I picked up a set of Hoosier AS04's when Tirerack was doing a closeout on them and got almost 3 auto-X seasons out of them

Everything else doesn't really matter in my book.

As far as i've seen www.edgeracing.com has the best prices for Falken 615's and a decent selection of lower price wheels, and they're local for you Fla guys

Exactly. I just need another car. Flat roads with no curves kinda negates the point of driving my car on the street But since its my only one there isnt much I can do at the moment. Im just glad I waited to put a cage in it.

Edgeracing charges FL sales tax to us locals, thats why I got the falkens at discount tire direct. It was about 30$ less and they got to my house in 2 days.
