theres two of them that one and a green one.the green one look sick as hell because it has the formula wing not the trans am wing.and for the real mechanic techs on here you would know that GM is a divison of toyota.for example the supra has the same tranny as a pontiac with the 6 speed trans. ones a T-6 and the other is a T-56 the only differents is the spline.just thought i should throw that in

You're on crack.

Do you know how many cars share the Tremec/Borg Warner transmission? By your logic, GM is also a part of BMW since their Turbo Hydromatic automatic transmissions can be seen behind many of BMW's models.

Toyota and GM have had many joint ventures, just as Chrysler and Mitsubishi have and Ford and Mazda have (before Ford gained a controlling stake in Mazda). Get your facts straight please.

For example, you are completely wrong. The T56 and the Supra's V160 are completely different. The MkIV's 6 speed is the V160 (or V161 if its 97/98 ) and is from Getrag. The MkIII turbo's 5 speed is the R154. The only part where you're almost right is coincidence; the GM AR-5/MA-5 is very similar to the MkIII's R154, but it was Toyota's (or more specifically, Aisin's) design, which is also used in light duty diesel Isuzu applications as well as some Jeeps.

You're also almost coincidentally right in that the older Tacoma, Matrix/Vibe, and older Corolla all were developed as a joint venture between GM and Toyota under NUMMI. Nowadays the only things they share in common are that some Toyotas use GM transmissions and some GMs (such as Cadillac) use Toyota transmissions. Oh, and the Vibe, which is pretty much 90% Toyota.

You may be thinking of the T6060 in the new Vette, Viper, etc., which has nothing to do whatsoever with anything Supra related. Just thought I should throw that in.

Not only that, the Corvette has been a transaxle car since 1997 (c5). That transaxle has been largely unchanged since its inception aside from some more intense bracing in later models.
