I forgot about the compression ratio differences but I was thinking he was going to replace internals anyways.

Granted Im talking out of my ass I really dont think the understeer would be that bad and price/power is better and so is power to weight ratio

i duuno but an extra 200 lbs sounds like more than youd want to me on a car whos balance isnt super great to begin with----i mean with 200 lbs on the front isnt the balance going to be like 70%-30%?????

sounds about right.
althought I have yet to see this done my understanding is that in a civic you have to mount the engine at an angle for clearance if it were leaning forward that would put more weight in front of the front tires and that is worse than putting it right on the front tires.
