i'm just looking to compare apples to apples is all. If Car A MSRP's for $70K, what else MSRP's for the same amount ? Chuck said it best in another thread with the GTR being out of it's class, I'm just wondering what is in it's class? Certainly not the Viper ACR, it's far too expensive. Z06 maybe ?... is anything in it's class?

I didn't realize a nanny car with 5043294832098 computers on board and a car with only ABS could be compared. Seems more like Apples to Oranges to me? A R35 GT-R has more computer assistance than needed and basically keeps the car stable for you, runs with that automatic tranny vs a Viper ACR which only comes with ABS and has a 6-speed tranny.

Which requires more skill IMO, I could also bring the Vette in here too but apparently thats out of your price range.

And like I said in other threads.

People like to compare prices

I could always buy a cheaper car and make it faster around a track too?

And about the people worrying about the interior, I didn't realize 240's had 'sporty' interior compared to the Viper. Only thing that I don't like is the steering wheel in the car but what can ya do?

So if we give both cars to the average joe off the street, which do you think they'd prefer?.. which do you think they'd lap faster in ?

i am sure the ACR is a fantastic piece of racing engineering.

Average Joe will probably want a Civic because they both get horrible gas mileage and require 93.

average joe would lose it in turn 1 in the acr. Hell, I'd probably lose it in turn one, granted, I really only know the theory behind driving fast, its hard have any fun in a taurus

haha.. true

anyhow.. ACR, lovely car but limited audience inside a limited audience. I can only think of mone or 2 people on TR who'd get any use out of it. I think the GTR is a more streetable usable car, and cant be touched for value/money in its class, which isnt the class of the ACR.

vspec is still gonna have all the whizbangs so cant even say "wait for the vspec" .. face it, 2 diff cars for 2 diff generations.

and i'm glad someone still makes a true race car... i'm not saying its the same but the degradation of the STi from what it was in late 90's to what it is today is annoying. Went from raw rally car on the road to pseudo-grand tourer.. performance didnt increase at all.

anyhow.. long live real race cars.

I like my interior.

But the ACR is a badass, If we dont consider price range, I would say it would give the GT2 and 430 Scuda a good run.
