We need to have TR sting night. Get a tastefully modified Civic in someones driveway and leave it unlocked. When they show up, 50 or so of the larger members come out of the bushes. We'd make the local news, at least.
Good luck with finding it. VWs have VERY expensive parts so they're easy to make a quick buck on. Hope it gets back to you in one piece!

answer to this question is yes, a while back, my neighboors car got stolen it was a integra w/ JDM ITR front end. My neighboor told me, i drove the area for an hour, before spotting it near an elementary school. 
was happy to see car was still intact except for seats. it also felt good to find it, although i wish i had been there a lil earlier i might have caught the perps... who knows..
