I have a 92 1.6 miata with 136k.. needs a few things but runs and drives good.

Its my daily driver but i want to autocross it and maybe road race.

well, I honestly always though a miata would be a beast if someone actually dedicated the time and money into one, wihch a few have done.

For the same price you could drop a 5.0 in yours. Just a thought. But yeah, if i ever had one I'd make it a hell of a track car.

that miata is pretty nice.

 

if you plan on autocrossin, you have started out with a tremendous platform, and if its the one you like as far as specs(interior for example) go for it. or like mentioned above spend the money on yours, but you can surely make it damn fast. ideal cars to start racing as far as im concerned. good value too.

 

Just do an ls1 swap or maybe a 2.3t. Then you would have a fun swap.

 

That car needs nothing to autocross.

YOU just need a helmet.

I'd meant dropping over 10k into one as the parts on these cars easily can get up that high. Anyway, whatever.

oh, and an ls1 swap is possible, theres even room for a blower on top, though it requires my favorite sort of time, hammertime.

 

You must not understand the classes of autocross.
