building a mini truck?
Is it expensive?...I have a 1988 Mazda B2200 standard cab 5-speed long bed....has rust all over bumpers...of course I spose I could just get new ones cheap....but anywho...would it be costly?
thanks
Jeff
thanks
Jeff
Depends on what all you want to do. Bags? Hydros? Make it show and go? Just primer it, throw some beauty rings on, and cut springs? What are you looking to do?
I got beat to it, but yeah.
What do you mean by building? Designing your own from factory parts? Dropping a small block in it and drag racing? Slamming it on its nuts and adding 3000lbs of hydraulics? You gotta be specific man.

sorry...as you can see I dont know alot about it....but I was thinkin I could make it look nice....lower it a couple inches, Rims, make it a little faster, fab up a Cold air intake, custom exhaust.....and if I really wanted to get crafty I was thinkin about turbo and some interior work....I spose I would have to do some tranny mods too.
88 B series should be able to except an American small block. You could do a turbo 350 if you wanted to go that route. Drop in a rotary? Fab a turbo for the current engine. I think Lowrider magazine is still printed right? Pick one up and get some ideas maybe. Hell dude, it's your truck. Let the imagination run wild.
lol, thanks man. Yeah, not so keen on an engine swap...that may be a little expensive...unless I can do something for cheap, but I would like to have a turbo 4cyl....it could be a little cheaper if I got maybe a small T25 or T3/T4, I would like something with a little go power but not alot...just enough to get away with beating some cars lol.
Is the 88 still a Ford engine or is it actually Mazda? I know the newer ones are the same as Ford Rangers if I'm not mistaken.
I thought it was ford that switched to mazda engines?
