B2200 = 2.2 liter....

Wiki says you've got about 85 HP I'm pretty sure you have the same transmission as I do, so that will be good for over 200 HP. Nothin to worry there.

I'd think you'd want to swap in something better instead. If you want something already proven and want to stay Mazda, I'd look into the 626/MX-6 turbo engines which Wiki says makes 145 HP 190 ft lbs. Not sure if it will bolt up to your transmission though

Theres also the 1.8 Miata engine...134 HP 110 ft lbs or so. Still crappy but better than what you have now. The engine is good for 300 HP stock..bolting on a turbo is easy and will get you there
