i'm not sure going from ga to fl, i just know that dealing w/the state on salvaged vehicles in ga is a pita! if you have to get a rebuilt salvage title for ga before you can change it to fl you might as well give up....i know that process bc of my job. you have to send the tag (if it has one) to ga along w/the title, then get it rebuilt, BEFORE you paint it, you have to contact the state and have someone from the state (i believe from atlanta) come down and inspect the vehicle. btw, you have to pay $100 for this inspect. anyways, if they approve it, you can go ahead and get it painted and finish and apply for the new rebuilt title. this process will take about 3 months realistically. now if it doesnt pass, you have to retry and pay for another inspect and do the waiting again. also, the rebuild has to be done by a licensed rebuilder and you need to have before and after pics and all receipts of work. not sure if youd have to go thru all that first or not but maybe thatll help. good luck!
