^nahh man, the shop fucked up, hes gota pay at least a little bit extra!

his deal was FAIR, but she wasent looking for fair, but fuck I wouldent be either! I'd be looking for AWESOME.... he fucked up not her, so why shouldent she come out on top? she didnt wreck the car or do anything that would leave her at fault other than leave the car at a "trusted" shop

 

she had an 05...with a supercharger

 

I dont see how having the car completely replaced, having all of your mods put back on, and also having an extra $3k isnt coming out on top

 

I think the shop tried to do everything he could to make it right. I'm sure he doesn't make so much money that he could pony up and just buy a brand new c6. He should have bought her another 05 with similar milage and replaced the parts that needed replacing to make it back to it's intended condition. The only thing he should do extra is free labor and all the performance stuff that he was doing anyway for free as well.

I probley would of did it too, just b/c she probley payed about 1500 so far on the car and it was wrecked, which is she was smart she would of got gap coverage, so she wouldent have to pay for it.

but from wat I can tell from reading the post, 3k is pocket change for her, I mean this car is obviously just a weekend car and she sent it off to have 1-2k worth of work, so you know she has money out of her ass lol

doesnt matter if he offered to fix what he fucked up, yeah he wasnt driving but his employee was and he HAS to take responsibility for that.
I think he or she should not just get what the car is worth but more since he has had to deal with all the bullshit.
And its not like he is broke he has plenty of toys, i think she should get his vette with the racing motor and show him how it is to have your car taken from you

The shop owner is a moron.

First he let a tech drive a customers car as some kind of reward for working on it? wtf is that?

Then the customer layed out a reasonable way to have it handled and instead of simply saying yes and likely saving his shop he tried to manipulate the situation and play damage control.

Now hes likely gonna get sued, his and his shops reputation is completely shot, and its probably only a matter of time till he goes under. Idiot
