I read up on the A5 TDI (Same body as S5 for those who don't know), 300tq @ 1400rpm. Man I wish they would bring it here to the States. Also, 40mpg. I like it. Perhaps I will make it a project, ditch the gas engine and steal a TDI out of the Q7...

Same. Until I'm rich, I probably wont spend more than $10k on buying a car, not including mods. The best car is the one you design yourself

335i makes 300 torque at the wheels from 1400-5000. Only difference is much less than 40 mpg, which I doubt the A5 TDI would have with U.S. MPG and 2008 standards.

I think half of Audi's lineup should include the Q7's V12 TDI option.

Meh, not quite 10x, but better yes. The S5 was based on the E92 coupe though. Anyways I'd rather have the sedan over the coupe, especially if I could have the coupe front end on the sedan body (like the M3).

Sedan is shorter, wider, and only 20 lbs more, which one can easily get around.

I have had several projects, I feel no need for another at this point. This is about the best commute with what I have outlined to be my ideal car within my budget. AWD is for the snow I may be moving into next year. If I don't move, I won't make the purchase. I would probably just trade in my 626 for a used G35 or used Lexus to be honest, or maybe even an Audi.

I couldn't agree with you more. I've built cars for the last 10 years, I've kinda grown out of that for the most part. Now I just want something nice, quick, that doesn't abuse my back when I drive it. Either the S5 or the 335 fits the bill of my next car as well, will have to get a test drive in the S5
