sweet! yeah, i did all mine like that, had that nice old ass purple tint on it when i got it! only had to chip off small pieces on the rear window bc the defroster lines broke it up, i had been on there so long i had to be very very careful with the lines, it was like melted in the lines. still managed to come out minus 2 defrost lines though :/

so yeah, my suggestion to avoid that would be to let it sit for at least an hr like he did to lessen your chances of messing those up.

also, if you see ammonia dripping on any trim panels clean it bc i may cause some discoloration if left on.

I let it sit on there for about an hour & 1/2 and it came off without a problem. Also I put a towel over my carpet but some did get on my panels but didn't discolor anything. I would just recomend people to wipe it off immediately. I diluted the amonia 1/2 & 1/2 with water.

hopefully my tintshop doesnt have a problem removing it without messing up the defrosters on my 08 vette, they need to redo the back window but the tint has only been on there for a week

Steam works wonders.

Jiffy makes a steamer and alot of tint companys use them to separate the film from the window then take a hard plasic card to scrape the loose bits off..

I've done it twice and its a pain but works well, it just sucks when you get burned from scolding hot water.

you know if you do damage all your defroster lines, you can just paint them back on

No, thats about the cheapest quality tint you can buy.

You have to go through a dealer to get tint, the big companys only sell to dealers.

I used to work for a Tint manufacturer

Call a tint guy, tell them what kind of car you have and they'll sell you pre-cut window tint for your car.
