Default Another performance/repair shop question; considering an e36 M3

They're only around $15K, a FI kit's another $4K. But if I need help with the installation, or it breaks, where do I take it? And how much will it cost per hour? I've heard them German cars can be prohibitively expensive, maintenance-wise

Most good german mechanics send their kids to private schools

That said - the earlier cars are pretty easy to turn a wrench on - if you can do the basic maintenance - then you are ahead of the curve.

Well first a buddy pieced a turbo kit together for under $2.5k all name brand parts with a basic tune for his 97 m3 that well save some cash u just got to search for the deal and e36's are not that bad to work on its just a tight fit for everything and for labor your going to pay alot just about anywhere but if u can turn a wrench you should have no problem

alot of guys like to go to cars and concepts.

I have never had them do any work but they seem to be one of the bigger BMW places in Tampa.

OMG I have to let my brother read this!

@orochinoyamato

I there are any questions about the M3 or any other Bimmer just ask me or my brother @Flobeck263, he is a mechanic at BMW.....in Germany.
and the parts aren't that expensive for the E36 M3. Except the engine or parts from the E36 M3 GT, what's a realy rare car and I guess it never has been sold in the US.

Its a tossup between the E46 and the E36 for being the easiest BMW (easiest car in general?) to work on, ever. The only "hard" BMWs to work on I'd say are the X5s and X3s, and except for the 2007+ X5s, they arent too bad. The E70 X5s are impossible though.

Basically do your own work. BMW shit tends to be more expensive if you dont DIY, so its even more incentive to.
