Default Which new car for around 40k?

I am thinking about purchasing a new car. I am not sure which direction I should go though. Any suggestions?

So far I thought of the following:
2008 LS3 Corvette (430hp, 6 speed, targa top, 5 year warranty, fast)
2008 G37S (330hp, would get one with all the bells and whistles, 6 speed, looks very refined yet sporty)
2008 MB C300 (6 speed, all the toys, panoramic roof, 220hp , new body style, 4 doors)

I have no idea if i want all out performance, vette or a nice 4 seater..the benz or something in the middle the G37. Which one would you guys pic? I get get a 08 for bout 43k that would sticker in at around 48-49k, not sure if dealers are negotiating on the prices at all on the other two so if i include them at stick the G will be about 41-42 and the benz will be just shy of 40k. I have someone looking at my car on tuesday, it being my only car, i think i should really make up my mind on what i want as a replacement.

Ever think about the Chryster SRT-8 (luxury and performance)

Lexus IS350 (they run mid/high 13's stock)

Also i would look into S4's 390hp awd. I think they MSRP high 40's low 50's although im not positive.

Although i don't like BMW's the 335I could be neat as well.

Screw the SRT-8, add those mods to the new LS3 Corvette and run 10s.

+1 on the G37..for the cars you didnt list I'd say check out the 335 BMW also. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that you dont really want a modded car anymore but just a relatively quick stock car...

LS3 Corvette > G37 if you want a badass car like you have now, just a little bit newer. If you want to try something new, and or need more space I guess the G37 is alright.

I'd also rock the new bmw, don't know how much they cost though

Test drive. Buncha bench racers and dreamers here. If it were me, Corvette without a doubt, but I'm single and without friends, so a 4-door has no appeal to me.
