Can anyone on TR, give me a heads up on why you cant bring in a skyline??
Ive been to all the relevent USA GOV sites that explain how to go about it, setting up workshops and shit...but whats the basic rundown...
IS there anywhere in Tampa area...that brings em in and can or does get them registered??
Ive been importing,racing and drifting skylines back in Australia for over ten years. They closed doown the industry by making all workshops, including mine become ISO 9001/9002 and restricting us to only 100 cars of one particular model a year.
So i got out of it...had enough of cars by that stage..had a family and got into the construction industry.
Now im here in the states, living in Palm Harbor and all ma boys in Japan are driving me fuckin mental tellin me to set up what i had back in Oz.
I just wanna set up a filth off tap workshop, doin modifacations puttin rb26 twins in old mustangs and shit...just to play around, but mainly
I WANT ME A FUCKIN SKYLINE...!!!!!
and dont want ta pay some GONG BEATER 30k ta do it.
Do you have to apply for a "import Approval" through a gov. dept before you ship it??
And whats the deal on bringing in a s13 as a whole car so you can part it out or...whats the go on bringing in shit loads of front clips of hondas and nissans in...I can get anything I want...Im gonna set this shit up...just need the basic run down on how ta set this shit up here in palm harbor or odessa,oldsmar or somewhere near here.

I hate all this V6 bullshit every manufacturer but BMW is doing. V6 is the WORST design from an engineering point of view...unbalanced, heavy, awkward (ESPECIALLY transversely mounted), balance shafts REQUIRED...fuck that. Want to cut down on NVH? Stop using fuckin V6s and go back to the superior I6.

Bullshit, use a design like Toyota's 1G-GTE...75mm/75mm bore/stroke (identical to the 2000GT btw). Give it an S/C and/or a turbo. Smaller displacement, use boost to replace displacement, worry less about gas mileage.
