Im sure it can be done, sounds like a very cool idea. But in my opinion like Mark said, just not worth it. But hey if someone has the time and money I would love to see it done.

The Denali AWD truck snd the Chevy SS truck AWD may have some components that may fit. Its a viscous trnsfer case that is full time AWD. The new Trailblazer SS has it as well. If it can fit under a Trailblazer you may be able to get it to fit in a muscle car with some cutting and minor mods.

My 01 Denali truck has this. Its pretty impressive and can take quite a bit of abuse. Lingenfelter took a truck like mine and added a mild stall and some spray and ran low 12 in a 6000 lb truck.

Just last week a Trailblazer SS with a 402 and halfway decent size shot ran mid 10s at 130...its a dialy driver.

The trailblazer drivetrain would be awesome IMO.

 

Recall that Ligenfelter made a 99 Single Cab S-10 with like 840 hp TT 427. Its first run it went 0-60 in like 2.4 secs, on lanch 2 it turned into a pipe bomb. He said no drivetrain made then could take that kind of power(awd)

 

I'll restate what I said about 1320's turbo silverado. It was on one single giant turbo before and now its got twin 78mm (I think) turbos and he's spraying a 60-65 shot off a dig. I'm pretty sure he's got a drivetrain out of an HD with some other mods to it to handle his launches. I think he broke it once, snapped the center drive shaft right out of it.
