i always enjoyed them when we had one come in at the shop. i would get one but im going to be getting a suburban soon.

as far as i know only the v6 can come in a 5 speed ... .. i think there is a company called mclaren that does aftermarket items for the LS .. and if you ever need to change the battery , it was under the back seat of the last one i worked on.

devil's advocate was sayin that he thinks that the V8 only comes in auto but the V6 comes in both auto and manual

no never had them in for mechanical . always collision repair. .. mainly because the cars suck in snow . but we dont have to worry about that down here .

I think those years are all automatic only. five speeds werent sought after so they ditched then. Plus it was around there they upped the v8s to 290 hp, should make a 14 sec car if you can drive. Scott went 15.2 on his and that was older lower horsepower gen.

my buddy had one for like 2 years. never had a problem with it. i drove it a few times. rode great and handled great. the dash is a little plain for me though. just very basic. the gauges were also. but it was an awsome car.

Love the cars, but IIRC you wanna stay away from the early models like 01 and 02 I believe they had some problems. I can't say what though... But if you're getting an 04 or 05 I don't think you have anything to worry about. I love those cars!
