the motor is clearly not garbage. mitsubishi inst that stupid to think that they can cheap out on the drivetrain of the evo and get away with it. well have to wait and see how the car really performs when it is released, and how well it responds to mods.

I kind of agree with you but it sucks that they changed a motor that has been built so well for something new .... i dont think it will live up to its name but we will see

times change man

look at the GTR

the RB has been around for over 15 years, yet they decided the VQ is their new flagship engine and stuck it in the new Skyline too

you're correct, the 4g63 is dead. No longer in production. No use crying over spilled milk though, nothing you can do about it.

Aluminum block does not instantly mean "=garbage". The SR20DET is plenty strong, surviving 600+whp on a stock block - aluminum block and all. If the design is correct, which I'm sure it will be, then I'm sure it will be more than adequate at handling way more hp than is needed.

The real stumbling block is going to be direct injection, and the rear mounted turbo.

When they interviewed Mr Evo(he's created the evo 7 and up and helped bring evo's over here) he stated it will always be better than the previous one.He dislikes losing traction so that tells you something.
