WHAT I WANT TO DO IS THAT I WANT TO OPEN UP A CAR LOT, WHERE NOTHING BUT MODDED CARS WILL BE SOLD.... KEEP IT STRICTLY HONDA, NISSAN, TOYOTA, MITSU AND SUBARU. THIS WOULD NOT JUST BE A CAR LOT BUT IT WOULD ALSO BE A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN HAVE YOU CAR PAINTED, ENGINE SWAPPED AND JUST YOUR NORMAL TUNE UP HERE AND THERE.... THE CARS WILL COME FROM AUCTIONS, DRIVE BYS AND OF COURSE YOU!!! EVENTUALLY I WANT TO BUY A LARGE PIECE OF LAND AND PUT A TRACK ON IT BUT FOR NOW ALL I GOT MONEY FOR IS THIS CAR LOT. OF COARSE I WILL NEED TO HOOK UP FROM WHOLESALERS AND THINGS LIKE THAT WHEN IT COMES TO PARTS BUT EVERY CAR WILL BE MODDED. AND THE CARS THAT ARE SOLD ON THE LOT WILL A CAN COME WITH PACKAGES THAT ARE TO THE CUSTOMERS CHOOSING...... THE REASON I NEED YOUR HELP IS TO SEE IF YOU GUYS THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA, WOULD YOU GO AND BUY?, GET YOUR CAR FIXED THERE? GET YOUR CAR PAINTED?, AND WHAT I DEAS DO YOU HAVE BEFORE I START THIS BUSINESS???? PLEASE DO LET ME KNOW..... THANK YOU

 

XAT does something similar, but the car sales thing is a smaller part of their buisness.

 

Id do for painting and if its up and running soon enough(I know it takes a while to start a business) Id get my motor swapped there. I could do the tune-up thing there too...but will you be doing paint, swaps, etc. on other cars besides the ones u listed? Im a chevy man all the way =D

 

painting for any type of car but we would strcitly specialize in the import side.... about the swaps yea my mechanics can do anything!!!!.... keep the ideas and post coming guys and gals!!!!!

Rip off on Snap On complete tool set 7-12k

Good body/paint man-25/hr

Good engine/efi/turbo/general tech guy 35/hr

General parts swappin grease monkies 15/hr

All insurances to cover all that and the cars/property prob 20k/yr (guessing)

State fees ?????


Not a bad idea, but the problem with dealing with strictly modded cars...
Make sure you lead guy is a fucking genius, or bad things will happen.

You can build 10 badass fast cars that run forever, but the one that drops a valve within 1k miles is the one everyone will know about

sure thing..... i will definitely let you know..... all the parts and stuff will be bought and as for the staff that i will be having will just be starting out with three guys, and the help of one more person for electrical issues..... already have the paint guy and the mechanic..... they can do anything...... now just need hooks ups from all the manufacturers.... you guys have any idea how to do that???? of course location is everything so this will have to be in a place where people are moving..... and not all cars will be modded but they will not be completely stock you know.....

 

All the contacts ive made---Be outgoing. Go where they go. Call the owners cell phone and be polite yet firm. Sound extremely confident. Let them know why helping you is going to in turn help them. Never sound unsure. Bullshit is neccesary, however, use it wisely. Be well versed on their products/area of expertise. Make sure all written contacts are COMPLETELY PROFESSIONAL in nature.

Be their freind, and respect them. Act as an equal, never a subordinate.

To wrap it up from a personal perspective.

Since I was 13, ive never wanted or gotten an autograph from any famous racer or otherwise. The way I look at it now, instead of saying "Holy shit bro I just hung out with Warren Johnson!!!"

well no one can answer honestly about this b/c we dunno wat kind of people u have workign there(yes u can say u will have good ppl blah blah) but we wouldnt know until u start it up. it sounds like a good idea on paper but would be very hard to get going, expecially in tampa, w/ XAT n DC in tampa right now. but good idea in say clearwater or something like that
