average conversion runs about 5-7 thousand dollars, the measurement is an AMPs not horsepower, one guy had an old toyota electic that had what looked like a volume control button, he just turned up the juice and had more power, i think the car ran an 11.7 in the quarter mile, at a standard setting you can drive the car about 400 miles before you need a recharge. if you solar shingle your roof, you can charge your car and power you house in fl and have enough power leftover to sell back to the grid. imagine that, no parts. just new tires and new batteries every 5 years. and no more gas! cities need these things avail now, can you imagine LA with a clear blue sky ?

Hahaha...you DO know that to get that electricity, those fossil fuels will just be burned in the power plant instead of in your car? You're just moving around WHERE the pollution is.

That being said, I approve of the torque rating, but hydrogen ftw otherwise.

Unless you use solar panels.

Unfortunately though, photovoltaic cells are probably the least efficient way to generate electricity. Yes, they will help, yes they've gotten better over the years, but regardless, they are far too expencive and take up too much space to be usuable for an economic structure.

Nonetheless they do work, and it is an excellent way to get some "free" energy if you park in the sun all day anyways especially in Florida.
