I went about 20 miles to buy my current car. But, I would be willing to travel 200 or so miles to get a car that I really wanted.

Actually, I drove from Tampa to KC, Mo to buy the Cadillac, but actually put it on a transporter. I drove my 4 runner both ways. 4 day weekend. Had some damn good ribs in KC too. So, 2600 Round-trip.

Do I win???

Charles
i think i still win. the trip from clearwater to ft. wayne was more then 1300 mi. and your trip from tampa to kc was only 1200 not 1300... i made that drive and i know exactly how far it is.

odd...in your 1st post, you say your trip was 1133 miles, which btw, is exactly how long google maps says it is from Clearwater to Ft Wayne (down to the EXACT MILE).

According to google maps, from my front door to Kansas City (front door of the gentlemans house where I picked up the Cadillac) is 1264 miles, not including the slight detour to pick up my navigator...which brings me in just under 1300 miles.

When I graduated high school.... 1264 was still > than 1133...by more than 130 miles. I'm not sure how todays new-fangled math works, but if it works to your favor, use it I say!

and that's exactly why i'm making the trip. i've been looking for another CLEAN, low mileage stock/close to stock, 87-88 turbocoupe for several years. plus... i'm getting a HELL of a deal.

Mine was only 1235 one way - so guess I am 2nd place on the one way list.... There was snow on the ground when I arrived - that should be worth 30 miles or so!

no, you don't get a handicap for inclement weather.

if that were the case... i drove through mountains... if you streatched that all out flat, you'd get about another 40-50 miles.
