I saw some economist/political talking head on the tube one night several months back explaining the dangers elected officials are doing to the economy buy pushing E85 too soon. Seems he was right, if you noticed, prices of everything related to farm products has risen.

I agree, they do this to look "green" so let them set the example first before cramming laws down our throat.

industry that affects population. All cars from the 2009 model year forward will be Cali cars. These are more expensive to produce, thus higher prices. Oh and let's not forget, there's gotta be people to inspect and approve all of this, so more tax dollars at work. I know everyone's really looking forward to it now.

All or most of them are no longer owned by the state. Not that it matters b/c we won't be doing vehicle inspections (not that I could tell by the bill).

Don't go eating yourselves guys, I am new but just noted the following two things in poast in pit road,

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

• Florida will adopt California's motor vehicle emission standards, including a 22 percent reduction by 2012 and a 30 percent reduction by 2016. Those standards are being challenged in court.

Asked if he favored a return to annual inspections for Florida vehicles, a widely unpopular program that ended years ago, Crist said he preferred to pressure automakers into improving engines.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
California's plan requires auto makers to reduce automobile and light-truck emissions by 25 percent and sport utility vehicle emissions by 18 percent starting with their 2009 models. Older models would not be affected. But California's plan has been on hold, waiting for a go-ahead from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency since 2005.
