One thing that aggravates me is I am unable to track down copies of the three orders Crist is going to sign. I found the site that shows previously signed orders (Link) but nothing that shows the drafts. Guess I will have to wait for the government to update the website. I also called Crist's legal department and got transferred to someone's voicemail. We shall see.

I just read through all that stuff, the news article and the 3 drafts that Crist wrote. Now correct me if i'm wrong, but these are the things that seemed to stand out

- He wants pollutants to drop 50% by 2050
- He wants all government and other BRAND NEW buildings to be energy efficient.
-All cars used by the government are to be the most energy efficient and gas saving
-All new vehicles are to be energy efficient

I didn't read anything about smog and emissions testing on old or civilian or non-government vehicles, or anything about putting these cars up to some emissions code. I think we're going to be alright.

If not, it's time to move back to Michigan.

I wouldnt panic.

The actual exec order does not specifically mention retroactivly testing to cali standards for private cars.

Most of the order deals with energy efficiency for state buildings.

You can find the actual order on the engine swap forum on miata.net. Cant link to it here cause im on a moto q.

I thought the same thing, it sounds like he want start changes in new vehicles, buildings, and go after utility companies.

It only applies to 2009+ vehicles.

Most cars sold in 2009 will be LEV or ULEV anyway. More useless legislation to make a politician look like an enviornmentalist.

Ya I read the same thing it doesn’t say anything about testing for older vehicles it’s only for 2009 and up models. And then I didn’t see anything thing in their that specifically mentioned testing just on fleet cars and government agency cars. But it doesn’t mention anything about older model cars so I think were safe but if it is as strict as cail its time to move back to Chicago or newyork. were there tough but not that tough.
