will be curious to see if the IRS in it does hold up to 5k clutch dumps, etc. The Cobra IRS could be MADE to handle it, but wasn't exactly wonderful from the start.. as for the vettes going 9s on an IRS, is that stock or with aftermarket mods?
Wish they still made the IRS for the 07 stang, but would do nothing but add even MORE weight to the car..

Yes, Suicidal.. it was a secretary's car.. but as always Chebby was playing catch up with Ford to get something on the street yet again.....

seems to be a recurring theme...

all depends on with who and where you hung out..
cause I've seen enough camaro's get spanked it'd make a 2 year old say "damn"...

Well, stock for stock the F-Bodies always won. Whether it be V6 or V8. They're faster, plain and simple.

thats what i thought...

it was deff one of the lighter smaller cars of that era. i think the majority of the people buying the 400hp v8 equipped 09 camaros will never take them to the track and would rather enjoy a non barbaric suspension setup.

i hate to say it but i dont think chevy/ford/dodge really care to make their cars quarter mile contenders anymore. sports cars that sell good today perform well overall not just on the strip. im sure they opt for IRS becuase of the safty and overall ride advantages compared to a solid rear.

Oh the mustang hate, then again it's never ended production since it's introduction unlike two of chevy's wonder cars.

givin that you are in florida id have to say more people like drag racing.

theres one thing that your not getting though major companys know that most of these "enthusiasts" dont have the money to buy a $35,000 sports car. i seriously doubt they care that drag racing is more popular than road racing or incorporate that fact when they go to make a new car.

Slight oversight in marketing flaws. LMAO. I must say I did own one, my first car my day got. Once you detune all the emissions crap it ran like any other nice 302. Just looked like a damn Pinto.
