tom tom's I have heard wayyy to many problems with. I used to work at CC selling them and cant tell you how many people exchanged them for the garmins. Most people said the biggest problem was that they would tell you to turn on this road as your driving by it.. I would for sure go garmin, never heard a complaint.

I almost posted this same thread about a week ago.

I didnt know my ass from a hole in the ground when it came to navi units, and all I kept hearing was "everyone says TomTom's are good" when I'd ask what they would recommend. Seriously.

I did my research (and lots of it) and came to the decision that the Garmin Nuvi series is the best for the money right now. CNET gives it great reviews, as well as all the other user-based sites out there right now. I picked up the Garmin Nuvi 360 for $400, and I effing love it. Well worth every penny.

Garmin Nuvi 360 Reviews. Car GPS (Navigation) Reviews by CNET.

Moving 3600 miles in about 3 weeks, so I'll need this thing.
