Default Odometer fraud

I traded my car into Carmax in Feb. this year. Since then I've kept an eye out to see what happened to it. It finally popped up on Autotrader.com because I recognized certain details about it and I matched it to the VIN on my old registration. Carmax bought it from me for $1700, this guy was selling it for $6295 with .......57,000 miles rolled off the odometer. I traded it in with 166,600 miles, this guy had it for sale with 110,000 miles. I called to see if they still had it and he said it was sold. I feel bad for the guy who just bought it. Is there anything a person can do to report the fraud? Here's the car : Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com

Wont carfax show who the new owner is once they register it?

I think all you can really do it tell the new owner. You have no proof of who rolled it back. Heck, do you even have proof that it was 157k to begin with? Does it say on carfax?

My trade-in paperwork states the mileage the car had when they took it from me. I don't know how official that would be in Court if the new owner were to take this guy who sold it to him. I just hate dirtbags like that that taint our hobby.

Hell, the registration transfer paperwork states the mileage of the Camaro, I guess that's official enough. But it's not like I'm gonna pursue this idiot. That new owner is probably thinking he has a relatively young engine he can slap a 200 shot on and unfortunately may last one pass.
