Ichnay, not going up there. They have plenty of support up there already. That was so weird, why in the hell he grabbed a gear is beyond me. That burnout had to be over 100mph.

To imagine Troy doing that in that situation is beyond me.

 

It appears the official number of fatalities is 6. From tbo.com:

The Highway Patrol said Raven Griswell, 15, of Finger, and Sean Michael Driskill, 22, of Adamsville, died at the scene. Four others - Brook L. Pope, 20, of Selmer; Scarlett Replogle, 15, of Selmer; Kimberly A. Barfield, 17, of Adamsville; and Nicole Griswell, 19, of Selmer, died in hospitals.

All 6 victims were between 15 and 22.

from what i see in the vid was he grabed a gear and let off then tried getting back in it..it is a psi blower on that car so its loud as hell even when your at part throttle.seems like he got lose then tried to recover by getting back into it a little bit..

 

Its obviously a tragedy because of the death and injury, but its also unfortunate that an incident is going to be mentally tagged by most with 'drag racing' when the incident itself had nothing to do with organized drag racing.
