There are some more pictures here - WARNING - one of the pictures is a little graphic. (body covered by blood soaked sheet, blood spilled out from under the sheet..it's not very close up, but it is a bit disturbing if you are easily bothered by something like that)

Top News - Drag Racing Crash Kills Seven at Parade - AOL News

Does anyone know if the car hit only people, or if it hit something larger? That is some serious damage to the front of the car...it's easy to rip up a carbon front end, but this is beyond body damage.

I was going to post the photo that shows the damage, but it is the picture I warned about being a little graphic.

That was a bit more then a burnout...I was expecting him to sit still, then launch and loose control...He was getting on it pretty quickly!

Very sad! It's just too bad that they did not have the orange water filled barriers along the street to protect the spectators.

Default Fault?

Yeah, I don't think it matters who's at fault, it's justa damn shame all around. Only one who actually cares about fault is the one who's gunna take it to court......... and thats a bigger damn shame than the wreck. Saddens me to hear about this, but angers me to think some one who was trying to do good will be getting sued, and you know it will happen.

Oh, that's right. I remember that from the phone call we got about it. Thanks, Derek.

Very sad. It is one thing for drivers to put their lives on the line knowing full well the danger they're exposed to, another entirely for spectators who had no idea what was coming. It isnt like these were the people you see standing all around the corners at rally races in Europe
