Ford Motors Ahead Of Rest In J.D. Power Quality Rankings
DETROIT - Ford supplanted Toyota as the leader of the pack in initial quality rankings, taking the top spot in five of 19 segments in the 2007 survey by J.D. Power and Associates, released Wednesday.
Porsche again dominated the brand rankings, averaging 91 problems per 100 vehicles, as it had last year. That compares with a 2007 industry average of 125 problems per 100 vehicles. Last year, it was 124.

I dont give a shit about them beating anyone else, but i havent seen anything change in the materials they use. Im not sure anything at all has changed, so could this be based on a regression from other automakers?

yeah, i liked the mustang until i hopped into my mother-in-law's brand new gt w/ california package and saw the cheapest plastic dash i have ever seen in a car, period. in a $30k car, that is completely unacceptable.
