AEM digital UEGO sensor
Just curious if anyone has any experience with these?
AEM - Gauge-Type Wideband UEGO Controller
Ive had a few folks recommend installing one of these prior to beginning any kind of serious work on the engine as a precautionary measure. Besides, I really like how it displays the ouput.

Well heres the thing: Im staying NA, but I have intentions of an aggressive Nitrous rig as well as some mildly exotic application-specific cam and ECU work that'll be part of an NA package Im discussing with N-Tech, this packadge also includes a custom headers-on-back exhaust system theyve designed.
Specs for it are still under wraps, but suffice it to say Im DAMN impressed with them, and saving my fun money for this thing.
Is it worth it for monitoring my AFR with that Nitrous rig?

Mine worked great until it was stolen. For any boosted/nitrous/ high comp motor, basically anything where a/f is critical to engine life it's a must. You wouldn't drive a boosted car without a boost gauge, this is just as neccessary to insure your within operating tolerances.

Im still kinda new at this stuff, and theres so much to learn its nice to confirm this stuff before I start blowing money.

Been there, done that. Do all the research you can and ask a million questions. In the end it's worth the hard time that some people will give you because you'll actually know what's going on under the hood instead of the jokers that pay to have everything done with no clue what's happening.

I am not the most fluent person when it comes to carb apps. (and I realize your statement has a note of sarcasm/humor to it). But even a carb motor has an A/F that can be measured. The only difference is that the FI computer thingamajigs adjust the A/F with a few strokes on a keyboard. Where as the carb takes a screw driver and alot of "close enough for government work". I'm guessing maybe the dinosaurs (and by that I mean anybody that was born before cars came with FI standard) are driving the carb'd v8's that can handle running lean until the next spark plug change, as opposed to a motor that is only slightly larger than that of a wave runner.
