Default Greddy Profec B spec1 question

Does the original profec have a boost limit?

I can't get mine to go as high as I would like. Everyone insisted on it neededing a bigger spring so I doubled the spring pressure and my low boost setting doubled but max boost didn't increase. I'm wondering if the profec maxes out at a certain psi?

If not how can you force it to make more boost.

need more info on your set up, like turbo size, wastegate used, etc

38mm tial gate with 20psi spring set up, 54 mm turbo.

What else do you need to know?

I can tell you that if I unhook the controller it will make lots and lots of boost. With the controller hooked up thirty psi is all it will do and is more comfortable at like three psi less. I'm trying to get it in the forty range. When we had a 10psi spring in it the max boost was the same as when we had a 20psi spring. Like the controller has a map in it that maxes out?

nah, it doesn't have any preset limits that I know of. Does it use the same solenoid as the one pictured below?

The spec 1 uses the solenoid box not the newer style solenoid valve ..

I've used a Spec 1 up to 32psi and I know of a few people who run mroe than that .. You could put in a bleed valve with the spring to get it to go more but that defeats the controllers purpose ...

lmao I was just going to say how I sold mine to my friend and he's running 27 psi on his so you shouldnt have a problem...but you are running a tad more than I

He said it runs off of whatever pressure your spring is set at, and you can at most double it.

The problem is we did double the spring pressure and the max boost didn't increase.

The older greddy has the old style soliniod that a square box thats about a 4x4 inch box.

Wish 20psi spring it should hold. I'm not going to put any more spring pressure in it. If it's the controller I might try to bleed the boost to the controller. When I tried to bleed it to the spring it would hold to a certain point and then be overcome which made for a nice boost spike.
