Nothing would make me happier than to see a group of level headed people go to places like CCC and Gandy and just kick everyone else out (imagine TR kicking everyone else out). The same people that go out there and street race are also some members on here.

The maturity of TR is not what is was a few yrs ago when I joined. It's actually gone down but this is my opinion.

You have those who are hyprocite... something bad happens and they are saying online... "don't street race, take it to the track." Some of those people saying that go out and street race some more often the others. It's amazing to see what some members say on here online and what they do outside the computer.

back to the point there are always hyprocites out but i think even the hyprocites on here are right this time .. me im tired of hearing about the crap that goes on out to these places form some of my friends/members of tr that go out there , i never been a person that likes to do stuff thats destuctive anyway so i never understand the draw to that place .. agin not being a prick or rude can you realy honestly explain why you need to go out there

As far as the building of a track, government funding, won't ever happen. You can sign petitions, jump up and down but it won't happen. This is how the politicians will look at it: How many kids/people do you see die playing basketball? Compared to how many kids/people die racing, whether its street or not. The bottom line is people just need to use their brains.

And Charles, I'd like to see you holding up the sign LOL I understand what you are saying but again, the brain has to be involved some how and from the looks of some, its not.

 

i've been to CCC 2 or 3 times, too much traffic and retardation, but i'm usually out by 12 so i miss everything

I remember the defining moment that caused me to stop attending any events on the bridges... Zebor and I had gone out to Gandy to go see a car that the brothers had just finished tuning. When we get to the bridge, not only was there a crazy hodge podge of people doing stupid things, there was some lady in a camery that had brought out her kids.... I'm thinking to myself "Did this lady see all the underground street racing in the news paper and decided to bring her whole family to watch? This is going to end badly..."

For the members that do go out there... is that kind of thing common?

 

back in 97 there used to be this guy with an old turbo maxima that would RACE with his kid in the back in a baby seat. So it could be worse.

 

Some guy in a new Civic coupe base model about a year ago (when they JUST came out) raced me from a light, screeching tires and all, with his wife and 2 baby seats in the back.
