Dude its beyond gay. It really is horrible. I hate every second of it.Last time i was at CCC i almost got into 3 accidents just trying to get there, iwas cut off by some POS cavy swerving in and out of car like it was a bike.I like to be able to go to the water the way me and some fellow Supra owners have done in the past and take pictures and just hangout with no racing involved. In My opinion they should re adjust the law and make the punishment even harsher even though it probally wouldnt change anything.

Honestly whos to say nothing will happen before/after/during a TR event. Theres still a chance no differently than theres a chance of being in an accident everytime you step into your car. Does that mean you shouldnt drive?? So whats the difference between a meet at causeway and one of these other meets, Id say most of the same people are going to be at them. The same crap will happen when they get to big. So dont go getting all high and mighty about lumping everyone that is out there together, cause your no different than us.

it was stated that this accident was "UNAVOIDABLE" and thats B.S. it was totally avoidable !!!!!!! and thats all i was trying to point out !!!!

Technically, there is no such thing as accidents, only crashes, because every crash has aspects that are avoidable.

Had the civic driver not had a drink, had robert not got on his bike, had the girl not opened her door...and so on.

I am actually going to agree on this. But unfortunately this is every time you get into a car. Please don't put words in my mouth and take that on a rampage.

Also Charles, when you are going to quote something I said and run with it, just make sure that I was talking to you in the first place.

like this???

You will find that I am very conservative, and very opinionated. I like to use facts, rather than emotions. That's just me. I care about every member of TR. I am a founding member of this site, been here since the first week almost 7 years ago. I have seen members injured, arrested, and killed. I have been to funerals of members. I have seen weekly posts of the stupidity that plays out on the streets of Tampa, and it's only getting worse. I have changed my ways for the better, and I hope that others will too one day.

To answer your other question in the locked thread, since there was alcohol involved there is the possibility that he can be charged. If anything I'm sure the state attorney will find some way to charge him in their deaths. A wrongful death lawsuit has to come from the families I think. Not sure on that one.

I understand about caring for the members here. There are many that I have met and Matt talks very highly of them. There are problems everywhere and CCC is just pinpointed every month, if not every weekend. Instead of everyone bashing (not saying everyone is) the ones that are out there "goofing off" do something about it. And this goes for everyone, not just you (Charles). Like you said, its easy for everyone to sit behind the computer and type words. Well if everyone is so concerned, DO SOMETHING! Don't just sit back and have to go to a funeral every month. I have buried many friends in my years, mostly car accidents, and I hate doing it.

And debates keep me on my toes too LOL Matt hates it, he sees it as drama but if done/said right its all good

well said charles !!! the fact is theres a ime when you got to stop doing stuff like that when all you see is your friends dieing and being killled , for what just to look cool!

coming from a 32yr old guy here there's more ou there then just going to ccc or gandy and its not a true factor of your car performance to street race !

not doing the people that died any disrespect!! but look we got three young people dead we got a young lady that will never be a wife to anyone. also a one young man thats life is over because he was drunk and drivin and either got to live with that or sit in jail because he killed someone . and a guy on a motorcycle that was ther at the wrong time and now he's dead and never have that chance to live ..

i think that what this post is about ore then pointing fingers .. all there saying is that the whole f&f thing and street racing or even hangin out there is not the right choice in life it canonly lead to something bad

I've read some of this thread... got to it too late and its already 4 pages...

Here's my opinion on this whole matter:

I read a comment about going there to hang out with "friends". Are you aware of there's plenty of other places between Tampa and Tampa Bay to hang out with friends even at that time of the night? Those friends could also meet up with you somewhere else and you can see "cars" somewhere else.

The point of those bridges and its been the point for years is people street racing. You can't hide the obvious, you read about it in War Stories... you see the video's in the Video Forum. So I see it as more then hanging out with friends. Some of you who mentioned that, some or if not one of your friends you are there to watch him/her street race. Don't even try to say I'm wrong because I can run a list of S/N's that go out to these places and are friends with you that do infact street race on those bridges.

There's a lot going on Saturday nights on those bridges... from fights, people talking shit, people being drunk (some even under age), street racing and so fourth. I don't even have to go to know and I never will go to know. You hear about it almost every week somewhere on TR. It's ridiculous and it seems like every week or every other week something is going down.

Tampa Racing doesn't condone street racing but yet has some members as Moderators who street race. It's obvious... again War Stories and/or Video's Forum you can find some in there. Agreed TR staff cannot control the actions of the rest of the staff but yet that doesn't look right.

Street racing is here, always been here, its been around for generations. Whether you think your doing it safe... it's never safe... no matter if the road is clear, nobody is around, etc.

As far as the problem as a whole, the problem is there... your around the problem... don't help resolve the problem in anyway then you are part of the problem.

Point is there's better places, much safer places to be at on a Saturday night. Why be around the problem? The excuse of you need to be there because friends are there is a pety excuse. You and your friends can hang out somewhere else and talk about the same stuff you would there. Point is as of right now and as everyone has been seeing these bridges are not a safe place to be at period.

You are right on this. The problem with that, its only moving the problem from one place to another.
