I wonder if this will be a new setup for the little cars, adding TOHC to DOHC and SOHC, or if they will be able to put more lobes on the existing shaftes to actuate the other valves....maybe Quintuple Overhead Cams. That also brings to mind the question of variable timing and electronic lift control, could it work on this new design? If they cant give it vtak itll never catch on.

lol, TOHC VTAK y0

I dont see how this motor is so complex. It looks like a pretty simple design to me. Its just something different. And I dont see how a brand new motor design makes it from RaD to prodution in such a short term on a large scale.

They cost a whole lot less and would run a whole bunch longer than this thing. Not saying that they are the end all to efficient motor design, but what people dont realize is that the gasoline ICE is a dying breed. I recently witnessed a motorcycle running on 100% water.

The economics involved in the r&d of trying to bring a motor like this into the forefront wouldnt make sense, especially with the other, far superior technologies out there.

Ive built a jet engine (axial flow compressor) out of turbocharger for less than $200, cool right? But who wants it or needs it? Only a couple of idiots looking to set land speed records with shopping carts. Not a huge market. This is making the point that the cost to convert the casting, forging, machining operations alone in an auto factory totally negate ANY advantage the motor might bring to the table.

Not discrediting the idea, just the economics. The people who have built the engine that runs on water cant even get it to the forefront-There are very powerful people/orginizations that never want to see that happen-and believe me, they will KILL to make sure it dosent.

For example, what about Bruce Crower's 6-stroke engine? The engine that injected water into the hot combustion chamber for a second steam power stroke, eliminating the need for a cooling system, and gaining 33% efficiency by burning ordinary water?

thats stupid because whats the point? double the pistons a 4 is now a 8 more weight and if you want the extra air in the motor isn't easyer just to pu on a turbo or supercharger?

after you look at it kind of works like a turbine they compress the air with a fan that pushes the air into a chamber then add fuel and a spark ant it turns the turn fan and pow jet power .. if you wan t a cool littl e motor try make a turbo into a jet engine !!!!
