Default insurance on your eg's?

alright, so my dad was calling in for insurance on my 93 si hatch this afternoon.. speaking that he had called in earlier for a quote they said it was about 800 to insure it. so i was like sweet.. i can pay the insurance for it and crap.. but today he called again to actually add it on to the insurance and they said 2500.. thats fuckin rediculous. any suggestions on lower insurance?

Zipcode is something they look at. We moved from one area of St. Pete to another area in St. Pete and it went up $20.

Were also talking Honda's here which are prone to being stolen/broken into any day... any given time.

Also depends on what kind of coverage... how old you are... your driving history and so fourth.

Oh yeah and forgot to mention it all depends on the insurance company and their policies. Each one is different... one maybe cheaper then the other. The reason it was probably $800 at first is because they thought your dad was going to be driving it. When he called the 2nd time they probably asked him who the primary driver would be... he mentioned you... gave all your information and boom went up.
