Default Headlight Question

I'm picking up a set of HIDs from Kirk but before I do I have to address a little problem.

One of my lenses has somehow manage to get water in it. A visual inspection(while mounted) yielded no cracks or obvious problems. I've never drilled holes or opened the mount up.

Whats the problem? how do I get rid of the fog and less importantly how do I keep it clear because the last thing I want is 20,000 volt HID bulbs meeting up with some water in there.

break the seal in the back, wipe it out and re-sillicone would be my guess, take it of and see if you can see where its coming in, or take the bulb out, fill it with water and cover the hole, see where it come out and sillicone it there...i'm rambling ideas sorry

no no...if you seal it its gonna stay..you gotta clean it out first...remove your headlight, remove the seal, get a heat gun (blow dryer) and dry out the inside, then reseal and youre good to go,

or ask kirk...

if you seal it and let it dry completely while its off, then it won't come back

i'd say don't crack it open, just take it off, fill it with water and see where it drips out, and then just sillicone that spot, better then re-doing to whole thing and then more then likely having it leak, just go to the hardware store and ask for a waterproof high-temp sealant or some kind of epoxy, just put a dab on the spot its leaking and smear it in with your finger

then just reseal the whole area where the backing mates to the glass, and then if that doesn't do it, get another gasket to where the bulb goes into the housing, i used a thin sheet of cork on my tails, but think about it, the only place it can get in is where it matesup, it won't leak through solid glass, and it won't leak through solid metal behind it, so there are only 2 places it can really get in you know?
