Default what to buy for $10k

I'm looking for a new used car...

any ideas?? it would probably have to be 8-9k because of all the dealership crap.

I had decided on an OZ Lancer from '00-'03, but my options just expanded a little, and I was wondering if there's anything out there that would have more features than a Lancer.

I want a car that I can cleanly modify in the future years.

and I'd like a manual transmission. Preferrably 4 doors.

i'm 19 years old with practically no credit history. i have money in the bank, that's the only reason i'm going to be approved for anything lol..

so i don't think i'd be able to get an EVO, and I definitely don't want to deliver pizzas in a nice car like that lol.

i need something that's stock so it won't get jacked when i'm delivering lol

Not everyone wants to go into debt. Some people, such as myself, like to be able to have stuff paid for.

As of right now, however, I can't think of a car that would fit those requirements that I would enjoy driving.

i need to go through a dealer to get financing.. a bank loan won't be a enough for a private seller

i found this one

2002 Used Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally at Tampa Bay Auto Network in Wesley Chapel, FL - Vehicle Details

but it's sale pending............is that a good dealer in the first place?

im 19 and had about that much to put down little more, but my payments are not too high on my 06 wrx (but i had a co signer).

dont get a Lancer es or oz had a 3g eclipse (hints the name) which is the same drivetrain they are nice cars but are slow and will pretty much stay that way.

im just saying there are many other cars that would be better platforms to start a performance buildup (2g eclipse)

You could get yourself a Lincoln LS sport v8 for like 8-10k if you look around hard enough. And yes, some are manual.

Or get yourself a very clean fox body stang...or a newer ls1 camaro/transam for like 9k

I think he is looking for something that will least but wont bring attention to get it stolen, I would have said a Honda but alot of people now seem to like to steal them! Hmm what about an older T-Bird or Mustang, Both fast and the T-Bird doesnt look like a car that someone would want to steal yet it's still fast and you don't lose anything other then gas used from the nice V8!
