well i guess in the end, it all about what you like, sure a turboed xb may be worthless, but its different (for now) and if they had the money to waste, whatever makes them happy. Or maybe they found that the stock 103HP produced was not enough for high way passing, to me thats more important, becuase I certianly dont want to be in a situation when I need the get go and cant pass.

But even if thats not the situation, I know its a feeling, like haveing a car that everyone makes fun of and you know it, but you drive it becuase of the infamous fame or just becuase you want the attention of people to be like "there goes another one of those _____ again" But people like it becuase it makes people comment and look. What if everyone drove the same car?

So sure the xb is ugly, slow, and defently not race material but its different and to each his own. As long as there not driving around like my xb is faster then yo car (well maybe to another xb owner lol)

i never got the thing, that you got to drive something that everyone else drives to be cool?? i get in this fight at work al the time but its about the price of the car your driving and not the performance the guys at work thing just because my car didn't cost 40-80'000$ its junk! but thats the same as the guy here saying why? its what make that guy feel good to drive a xb so let him have his fun .. i only think people cars are junk when they think its the best thing runing , ive seen that xb or one like it i think its ok xb's aren't my thing but at lease it done well and not the same ol "jdm style honda/240

Hey, I know where you're coming from. I drive a DSM, a widely disliked and disrespected vehicle. I just look at the amusing aspect of the insults- how far off people usually are- and go along my merry way. I know what my car is and I'm pretty happy with it even with all of its shortcomings.

 

I've owned a DSM though.. and its more trouble then what its worth.. although thats opinion.. but I've literally spent more on repairs then in performance and I never really raced that vehicle..

if thats how you truely feel then you have bigger problems. your infected with that holier-than-thou domestic asshole attitude. usually i hang out with domestic guys because they are more my age(30), and more military veterans, but you're more of a ricer than the wanna-be-hardass highschool thug driving import guys.

what you fail to realize is that not every one falls into a certian stereo-type. to give you an example, my friends father is a small millionare, he is a contractor for the department of defense, and makes missle parts. the mofo wont drive anything but a honda.

or take me for example, i have a $85k income, daycare, mortgage, health insurance, 401k, car insurance, 2 car payments, credit card bills, phone/cell/internet/cable, etc. and enough left over to spend a little here and there. my friend who makes the same as me has a 07 STI and 06 G35, and a 250k mortgage, daycare, and he lives paycheck to paycheck.

bottom line is i like the civic because its more satisfying to make a slow car into a fast car instead of buying one that is fast from the factory. and you should be the last person to rag on imports, because you own one, fucking ricer.

In my case it took me 4 years to get it running right. The first two years I didn't really know what I was doing, though. Now that it runs well it's a fun car to drive. But yes, the car has been about 1,000,000 times more trouble than it is worth, until you figure in how much I learned spending those few thousand hours wrenching on it.
