Well if the mods don't want it on here I wont post it here. I think it would be a good source of information that could be helpful to the victims of theft.

I highly doubt a documentary on the basics of stealing a car would interest a thief as what I want to demonstrate is common knowledge.

 

Clubs do not work that great you can cut the steering wheel and slide it off..or put a pipe on one of the forks and break one off anf its off like a prom dress(lerned that from a POLICE INFOMERCIAL..lol)..t0w truck will just hook it to your trailing arm and pull it..kill switch might work if done right and hidden correctly..honestly if they want it its theres and its sad..but precautionary measurements try taking your ECM with you or main relay or both..kill switch alarm ..GUN with good aim(of course you were in fear for your life and he tried to run you over"..dont mean to rain on parades..

 

Sad part is..it take less tehn 1 min to get into and start a civic/crx/teg with a slimjim and a drill with no noticable damage..i leanred this when i lost keys to my 88 hatch OVER AND OVER AND OVER..lol for a year i started my car with a flathead or any small item to flip my igniton switch..but i ofcourse had a fuel cut switch..it is amazing the knowledge you obtain either helpful or not when the only people you hang around with are car guys(tow truck drivers..cops..etc)
tow truck drivers always say how hard it is to get a LOWERED car with wheels cut and steering locked and car in gear and e-brake on..just a tip

Why on't you just pick any car and demonstrate how easy it is to steal it. All this time I've been picking on Civic owners I've thought it was funny, are they actually THAT much easier than other cars to steal?

 

F'k AWD, I'm tired of pushing the hell out of these little engines in heavy ass cars. Once the my last project passes, I'm getting a Ls1-7 baised car and boosting it.


Yes Civics are the easiest cars to steal, mine got stolen 3 yrs ago right out from in front of my sliding glass doors. It takes them not even 4 minutes to steel a civic. 5-6 minutes if you have an alarm.

That sucks. Oh well, mien enver got stolen or even messed with..but it was a stock 2-door EX model..used for what it came form the factory to be used for - great gas mileage and cheap, decently reliable transportation.

 

I've always seen the light, I just think alot of V8 guys are to cocky and thats not my kind of crowd. I also like the resonse I get from them when a 4 banger rips them a new ass, its like they just seen a bad accident

Me personally, After beating so many V8's and being down for repairs so many times while they still run the streets and stay consistantly fun it makes little sense to keep throwing money into somthing thats constantly stressed beyond its limits for an oh shit effect. Guess I'm getting older and finally growing out of it, my money can be better spent elsewhere....

 

Eh, a lot of us seem really cocky, but thats always been because you've een looking in from the outside. Hell, I know the Ford forum people are mostly friends in person, and everyone I've ever met has been a really cool person. Honestly, I see a lot more internal drama unfold with the import community bubbling with adolsecent testosterone and the desire to steal and scam eachother. You'll find if you make a nice car and just come out with our groups (which are a WHOLE LOT smaller than the import groups, that and the fact that you don't find as many of us doing dounuts and burnouts keeps cops away for a bit longer), we're a pretty friendly group - but every group does have a few bad apples, which I'm not gonna name in this thread.
