Good luck man, that sounds like so much fun! Also given me reason not to go straight to Fields BMW in college...I think I'll wait and enjoy college before jumping straight back into a job..

What is with you two working at fields BMW? they hire college students or something?

Neither do I

Its coincidence. I'll already have 2 years experience by the time I move to Orlando, so I figure there should be room.

On the formula car, whats the advantage in using a cantilever style front suspension instead of a 90* inverted shock? I see that style on all open wheel cars. Im wondering becase Im toying with the idea of building a tube frame car similar to that using a 600cc CBR motor/trans.

Also I dont know how high the budget for the cars are or if it would help, but quaife(sp?) makes differentials for chain driven vehicals using motor cycle engines or similar motors. only down side its a $1k unit.

when the racing gets this intensive and competitive, you do everything you can

it gives us more control over lateral forces, and better longitudinal response.

it is more complicated than that, and i cant give away everything. but it also helps with many smaller things also, such as CG
