Default Engine question

OK so i bought a 93 honda prelude SI with the H23..I bought it from a aquantence that is very ditsy and has never messed with a car before..she was told to put water in the ratiator and she puts it in the windshield wipers...So she is driving and the car overheats on the highway and now it wont start...What are all the things that could have gone wrong such as blown head gasket?...warped heads? anything else? and is there a good chance that im gonna have to rebuild the motor? Thanks For the help

quite possibly warped the head/block, blown hg, probably not much else though. Worst case scenario (well, short of replacing the entire motor) would be replacing the head gasket, decking the block and milling the head for straightness

well you need air+fuel+spark+compression for the engine to run. Its possible the gasket is so blown that there's no compression.

if the block is warped I wouldnt even worry about it, be way cheaper and easier just to swap the motor. To get the head done usually about $200 I think it runs us to get our heads done

Does the car turn over? When I overhead my engine at Sebring it wouldn't start, but turned over. It turned out that I lifted the head off of the block... 35 psi in all cylinders. The head gasket is still in tact... in fact I am going to reuse it! I kid, I kid.

Call Ivan at CFP he just finished an H22 build on a Prelude 727-572-4340
