I hate them too, stock 4300k outputs the best light. People just see the high kelvin number and think its better.

I personally like 8000k the best, though I havent seen them in person before.

Anything between 4000k and 8000k is fine by me...above that and its less effective IIRC as well as ugly

Well my plug and play kit worked out great, there are alot of cars out there from the factory with HIDs and without projectors. Maybe someone else should get a clue.

unless the car itself came with HIDs it doesnt matter for shit that you can get a car with optional HIDs, the reflector/projector that is in the car currently is made for a halogen, so plugging in an aftermarket kit will glare, it will not be the same as the same car that has HIDs from the factory. In my supra i retrofitted projectors from a bmw x5 so i had a beautiful cutoff. That being said, I do have an ebay kit on my vette, its 6k, i asked for 4300k, but i got a 6000k and didnt bother sending it back. Im not a hypocrit, i know my kit glares, but i dont kid myself and think its as good as a stock setup

I had an ebay kit back in the day on my Accord and it was complete garbage.. then my buddy did a complete retrofit to the headlights when I did the conversion and it was much better.

Now as far as my IS300 goes.. I am very impressed with the output, color, and especially the auto-leveling. I may even add an HID kit to the fogs since they have a very nice cutoff.

... possibly this to my headlights.

So sexy!

no shit that is why they designed D2S and D2R bulbs and the D2R bulbs are for cars without projectors but still have a cut off and doesnt blind people... dont tell me u never had people in the opposing lane flash their highbeams at u because they thought you were driving with yours on..

My retrofit kit worked out great... but then again, I have a projector headlamp for my low beam. My brother's kit works great also -- no projector there...

Mine:

Mine and my brother's aimed at the garage:

Wow -- lots of glare off of the WRX w/o a projector, huh opiumdaze?
