A question for the import guys.....Is it worth it???
being a former import enthusiast I know exactly what you talking about Will. I've owned mostly imports with my last being my low 13 second se-r which i had a good 7k into. sure I beat some stock ls1's and modded lt1 and mustangs and it was a great feeling. but then I would come up to slightly modded ls1's like your old camaro and would get spanked everytime. I finally realized it wasn't worth it to me and sold the se-r and bought an ls6 equipped vehicle. I will tell you after owning a z06 and feeling the power of a stock v8 it has made me a complete believer. Like I once vowed to never own an American car or a v8 I can honestly say now that after owning one I'm sold. It would take one hell of an import to pull me out of an American v8 car. I now have a fox body and have big plans for it. I think the die hard import guys that are American haters just haven't really had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a v8.

oh, i forgot to add that my rex or teg arent swaped! both have stock D series in them. the rex is still a single cam!!!

thats 0-60 and 1/4 times stock for stock and both allmotor no spray or turbo so the LT-1 has the 4 cylinder beat by .1 in the quarter and tthe V8 has 4 more cylinders

you're comparing 13 year old technology vs a brand new car and the Corvette still wins. You could buy 3-4 of those things before you get to the price tag of an S2000.
So how is it living under your rock there buddy??? There are stock head/block LS1's deep in the 10's....and by stock I mean the actual motor that came in the car.
