Is driving without power steering really that bad?

IMO no PS is better as long as the car CAME that way. Now when your car is SUPPOSED to have PS and it doesnt work, then it is a bitch!

If it is a heavy car (espically one with a lot of weight over the front wheels) it is going to be a lot of work to manuver at parking lot speeds, and probably will be a little more work while driving in town.

depends on the car's weight. Not a problem with lighter cars, but in heavy cars like supra's, 300zx's ect it can be noticed alot more then a light car like, rx7,240's esc.

I don't know about lighter cars, but anything over 3000 is a pain in the ass to drive without power steering. Assuming you're talking about a car that has a power steering rack minus the power steering. Replace it with a manual rack and it's not bad at all.

ive never had powersteering... i wouldnt care to have it or not. you only really notice it when youre going slow... a smaller steering wheel helps too.

I just bought a new/old car last nite----( my signature!) and it has NO POWER STEER. This is my 5th ride and a change with no p/s. It was very hard to deal with but after a day of driving it around I kinda got use to it but I would highly prefer a car with p/s.
